My bad about my last article. It was meant to be funny, but no one at YogueIN has a very flexible sense of humor. It's either Ms. Wyntour's way, or the lonely highway.
While walking that lonely highway this morning, I ran into Evan Lysacek. I was pretty down and out about the troubles that I've been having at my new job, so I didn't recognize him at first... but after he explained to me that the necklace he was wearing was actually an olympic gold medal and as I thought back to his previous ramblings about feathers and ice, I couldn't help but put two and two together. He's the Mens Ice Skating Champion!!! I know I put exclamation points there, but I was too upset to be excited. So what I meant to say was "He's the Mens Ice Skating... champion..."
Anyway
Lysacek is an okay guy. He's much taller than I would have imagined and very easy to talk to. We walked for a long way on that dusty highway. I told him about my flop of an article and how no one believes in me anymore at YogueIN. I confided in him that I had faked my resume to get this job, and how I'm just not sure if I can deliver results.
He told me about his dreams of being a bull rider, and how ice skating was something that had always come second. I laughed at his dream. I actually laughed at both his dream (bull riding) and his second choice activity (ice skating), I laughed and laughed and then.. suddenly, he began to cry. I said, "Evan, why are you crying?"
He said he didn't know.
