Smoke Jackson Meets David Beckham; Drinks His Smoothie

Hey, Smoke Jackson here, well with Ms. Wyntour locked in her office, none of us are sure when and if anymore posts will be submitted this evening. I decided that I better pack up and get out of the office before I got roped into doing any extra work.

As I left YogueIN's global offices I looked up at the sky and thought to myself, "I really hate my job". I kept looking up at the sky and listed off all of the reasons why I hate my job:

  •  I never get to write about sports (I am the sports editor)
  •  Someone always eats some of the chicken out of my stir fry before lunch time (my mom makes it for me)
  •  The sodas in the break room are $1.55 (I never have enough change)
  • My work station is a desktop that doesn't connect to the internet. (I have to hold the keyboard on my lap
and lastly...
  • My computer only has Open Office on it (last years version)

The longer I looked up at the sky and listed the things that I hated, the angrier I got, so I decided to look back down and be on my way. It was then, that I noticed David Beckham, standing on the other side of the street using crutches and carrying a smoothie. I've always wanted to meet the "footballer" so I ran over as fast as I could to see if I could be of any assistance. As I got closer, to my great surprise, I realized he was crying!

I immediately asked him why he was crying, "David, why are you crying? and why are you using crutches?" He said he couldn't remember, but that his foot hurt. I told him that I understood, and that my feet hurt sometimes too. He laughed a little at that, and then laughed even harder when I grabbed his smoothie and took a big sip.

"You're a really great guy Smoke, who needs soccer!" he said. I agreed with him. Our exchange didn't make much sense, but I surely agreed: who needs soccer.
