We Don't Want An Online Relationship

A friend of ours told us she was looking into online dating. Our initial reaction was "NOOOOO!!!!" And still even today writing about it we feel the same way. Are there really real people on the internet? We are a real person, and are currently using the internet right now.

So why do we imagine that everyone else using the internet is sketchy and only wearing their underwear at their computers?

Why does online dating get such a bad rep? And yet, we're not sure what the statistics are but like... 563 billion people have tried it and are now cuddling in front of the T.V. watching the Pelican Brief because of it.

Would you watch the Pelican Brief with your online date?

Mmm... something to think about...

So, is it more productive to 1. Be single and have a blog (meaning you devote at least 45 minutes to the internet every day) or 2. Be single and use online dating site to try to not be single or 3. Spend 23 hours on facebook everyday even if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

If you had to choose, only one of those options, which would you say is the best use of time?

  1. Forget the internet all together?? My blog and FB are dead... and my life is better that way.
