Kids, get your celebration on early! A year early to be exact! Apparently, there has been some debate in Utah about whether senior year in highschool is absolutely necessary. The idea, to get rid of it, was proposed by state Senator Chris Buttars as a way to chip away at the state's 700 million dollar debt.
After obvious objections-- mainly that perhaps 17 year olds aren't full equipt to be sent out into the working or college learning world, the proposition has now been "toned down" with the suggestion that 12th grade could be optional instead of completely gone.
Can you imagine??? What if 12th had always been optional?! Would you have gone? Exactly, neither would anyone else, and then we never would have known if Stephen and Kristin stayed together or been able to watch Morgan get rejected from BYU!!!
