Environmentalist at Yale and Columbia (ever heard of 'em?) released their biannual Environmental Performance Index. The index basically ranks countries on how well they are treating the environment.
The leading countries were Iceland, Switzerland, and some place else... The United States came in at 61st.
Above is a picture of a roadway in India. Despite the countries innovative traveling methods it came in at a low 123rd on the list.

All that elephant dung is probably releasing enough nitrogen to to burn a small hole in the ozone. India should give dog sleds a shot. That'd probably move em up a few places.
