Sorry, when we're at work, and when we go to blog, it's kind of hard to make a YogueToon. So sorry if everything is a *borepost.
Also, we were talking to our sister the other day, and someone wrote her this email where instead of saying "You may not want to see me" he said, "you may not want to burn your time with someone of lesser patronage"
Like, what is that?
Why do people say stuff like that?
This Writing to Persuade article, that we rambled about in our last post, has a line in it where the author says that sometimes people will write as though they have "turned his/her chairs away from his/her listeners and is mumbling at length to the wall, and then heads for home without a backward glance"
We think that is such a legit description of what happens all the time.
Something we are really going to try to do in the upcoming months is realize that people have things that try to kill them everyday ie: brutal jobs, brutal roommates, a cheese burger with onions on it, skirt stuck in their nylons etc etc, and with this realization we are going to try to make sure that the way we talk to other people doesn't add to that list of daily assassins.
*borepost- noun - boring blog post.
sample sentence - "Wow did you read that post in The Huffington Post Living section today?" "No dude it was a borepost, I couldn't get through it"
