PS. "Exact Revenge"

In the last post that we wrote, we used the phrase, "exact revenge", as we were typing it, we were unsure if we were using the saying correctly. After googling it, we found out that we were correct. So anyone who was thinking that it's "enact revenge" or "extract revenge"...it's not.

Important Reminders About Facebook

There are a lot of articles that have been written about how unsuspecting teenagers and adults (think Anthony Weiner) can get themselves into a bind when it comes to social media. One of our friends recently told us a story where a Dad was using his wall to search for things. So brutal right?

So most of us aren't in that bad of a state, but we can all use reminders now and then. So here is a reminder of some of the most important things to click on while using facebook.

Unfriend - Probably the most important option on all of facebook. This button is the social media equivalent of "getting the dirt off your shoulder". YogueIN suggests you use this button as generously as you can. Don't be stingy with it.
uses: break ups, girl fights, being too creepy with someone elses page, mentally just not wanting to be linked to someone, cleaning up your social contacts

X - This button allows you to close any and all pictures.

uses: closing pictures of your ex with his/her new girlfriend/boyfriend, closing pictures of friends taking pictures of themselves in the bathroom mirror, closing the millionth baby picture, closing pictures of those dumb birthday/tag me in this note/tag yourself in this if.../the drama queen/the jock etc etc etc etc etc. The list literally goes on forever. Be so grateful for this X.

Leave This Conversation - This one we used for the first time today. This button allows you to exit any "reply all" type message situation on fb.
uses: group conversations regarding any type of event planning (wedding showers, baby showers, a group looking for a bridesmaid dress, really anything that it will kill  you to receive more than one message about. No one likes being tricked and thinking they've got a cool message from someone and then it starts out "Hey Guys! So I was thinking . . ."

Anyway, these are our favorite buttons/actions on facebook, what are yours??

Oh Hey Google+... Sorry...

Apparently people don't really feel like using Google+. This article explains that after an initial "ahhh we want to be trendsetters lets sign up for Google+" people are now over it.

The average Google+ users spends 5 minutes on the site compared to Facebook's average users who spend 34 years on that site.

Do you have an Google+ account? What are your thoughts?

The Couple That Wears Toms Together; Stays Together

We are mutual friends with these people on Facebook and this picture came up on our newsfeed. Strike #3823756 against Facebook.

What if these people just wanted to wear Tom's together in peace? What if they didn't want YogueIN's 4 readers the world to judge them??

Man Facebook, just let people live their lives!

Showing Concern Through Facebook: Wrong Way To Do It

We've seen this type of thing on Facebook too much. A Facebook profile announcing that a break-up has occurred and then people's friends taking that as an opportunity to be brutal. The correct response for the person who ended his relationship would have been to definitely NOT respond to this guy. For two reasons:

  1. 1. His concerned friend shouldn't have said anything on Facebook. He should have texted/called/emailed or whatever.
  2. 2. He spelled real with a z.

If you feel like you need to respond, immediately divert the conversation away from the topic. Say something like, "Hey, I misplaced that *insert anything* you let me borrow, I can return it asap" This accomplishes two things:
  1. It throws your brutal friend of the scent, he/she will forget all about what is happening and be like "oh yeah, I need that back"
  2. Your ex reads that and is like "wow, he's over it"

But a passive aggressive response (see above) just turns your FB wall into a reality show and you immediately become Heidi Montag and your day can't get much worse than that.

(side note: Props to the guy whose relationship ended though, he has a really good FB pic.)

Remember That Time You Unfriended Us On Facebook??

YogueIN's official policy on unfriending someone on facebook is that everyone does what they have to do. So if you've been unfriended, and are feeling upset about it, instead of getting mad at the person, you really need to think about what you did.

For example, are you putting up status updates that are in all caps all the time? (ie. I LOVE MY FAMILY SO MUCH AND IMA BE THE ONE TO BLAH BLAH BLAH) if so, then the appropriate response from all of your friends would be in fact to unfriend you.

Another offense would be if you are overly affectionate with your husband via your statuses (ie. Today is the first day I ever watched T.V. with my husband! He is so great xoxoxo! blah blah sick sick love!)

We would say one of the biggest offenses you can make is to take 18 million pictures of yourself in a bathroom, doing more or less the same pose. We're sure you know the pose, but just to be clear he is an example below:Ugh! We can't find one, but it's like the bathroom shot with the kissy face. We KNOW you know.

Anyway here is the kicker! Remember Matt who we were JUST talking about?!?? He unfriended us!!!! And we didn't do any of those aforementioned things!

We. Are. So. Mad.
